Baby Girl's Babies

Recently, a resident of Norman reached out to us about a dog that she took in that ended up being pregnant and having babies! This resident has been caring for mom and her babies and doing a great job. We have helped out by providing food, potty pads, a puppy pen, and we'll do their vaccinations when they're ready for them. We're also going to help get the puppies and mom spayed and neutered and get them into an adoption program where they can find great homes.

Dr. Tyler and Mandy went by today to check in and see how they are doing and get some pictures of everybody. First of all, their human mom is doing an amazing job with them! There are six babies that are growing like weeds! Mom wanted them to stay cool in this hot summer, so they are hanging out in her bedroom because it gets the best air conditioning in the house. As they've grown, she even moved her own bed to another room and let mom and babies have the most comfortable room in the house.

One of the babies is quite a bit smaller than the others, but definitely no less cute than anybody else. Because he's small, sometimes he's not eating as well as his siblings because the bigger puppies can get to the food and mom easier and he was not getting as much. In order to help him out, their mom has been bottle feeding the baby multiple times a day and hopefully soon he's going to transition onto regular food like his siblings.

We really wanted to share this story partly because we couldn't resist sharing their cute pictures with you, but mostly because we want to give credit where credit is due. We only played a tiny part in giving a tiny bit of assistance, but this family is thriving due to their loving human mom.

Due to her loving care, this family is happy and healthy. We also got to meet the other animals of the house, including a very sweet dog and her beautiful cats.

It's so heartwarming for us to be able to help a family that already has the love they need and just give them that extra boost to be the best they can be. This family is exactly the reason we wanted to start St. Francis. Life happens and sometimes things don't go as planned. Working together, we can help the animals of Norman stay loved, healthy, happy and in their homes even when unexpected things happen.

Please consider donating to help this family. Even the smallest donation will provide necessary vaccines for these babies to keep them healthy. You can donate by clicking the donate button at the top of the page or going to the donations tabs to see how to donate supplies. Thank you all for reading and I hope you enjoy the cute baby pictures!
